CERTIFIED STAFF FOR LEG HAIR REMOVAL SERVICES
Amore Laser’s entire staff is made up of certified professionals all registered through the State of Texas. In 2010 Texas Legislature mandated that all medical spas within Texas boundaries operate with a Certified Laser Professional on hand at all times. In addition, a requirement was made for Medical Spas to be registered through the Texas Department of Radiation and Control Branch to insure that the treatments provided to the public are safe and that the equipment used is in compliance and registered. Amore Laser is proud to say that we are onboard with all mandated requirements and proudly display our credentials on a wall in our MedSpa located in North Central Austin.
LEG HAIR REMOVAL TREATMENT PROCESS
Once you decided to make the life changing decision to have leg hair removal done you will need to speak with one of our staff and set-up your free consultation. Once a treatment plan is established your first treatment can begin. Typically an hour block is required for leg hair removal because of the large treatment area. Some of our clients opt to only have lower legs while others only want upper legs so depending on what treatment you’re having done will determine the treatment time length. A general rule of thumb would be one hour.
During your treatment process you will lay on one of our comfortable spa beds and an Amore Laser staff will provide you with safety goggles that are to be worn through the duration of the treatment process. These goggles shield your eyes from the laser light that is intended to only penetrate the skin on your treatment area. The treatment process is virtually painless because we use the State of the Art Candela lasers which use a patented cooling spray devise that cools the skin prior to the laser firing. The treatment diameter is generally 18MM and we always overlap pulse zaps to insure an effective treatment. Once completed, our staff will go over a few guidelines for you to follow and provide you with some aftercare information before scheduling your next appointment. This process will continue through the duration of your treatment package and we’ll quickly and painlessly have you on your way to silky smooth legs in no time!
WHO DOES THE LEG TREATMENT?
By law any Medical Spa located in Texas must be in compliance with the mandated regulations established in 2010 by the Texas State Legislature. MedSpas are required to have a Certified Laser Professional on staff every day. Amore Laser meets these requirements for each of our Staff and proudly displays our credentials in our reception area. All of our staff have gone through professional training before performing any type of laser hair removal treatment, including legs. In addition, Amore Laser is overseen by a Medical Director who reviews treatment parameters on a regular basis to insure our clients are receiving the most effective treatment possible.
CAN ANYONE HAVE IT DONE?
Yes, however with all laser hair removal treatments, blond, gray and red hair does not respond since the laser targets the pigment in the hair follicle, the “melanin”. Laser hair removal is popular with both men and women. In fact, we have seen an increase of male clients over the past several years with the most popular area being the back, chest, abs and nape of the neck.
